Apple Cider Vinegar is streaming on Netflix and the series tells the true story of Australian scammer Belle Gibson (played by Kaitlyn Dever). She lied about having a brain tumour and monetized the fake diagnosis by launching an app called The Whole Pantry.

The is billed as a “true-ish story based on a lie" and is inspired by a 2017 book, “The Woman Who Fooled the World,” by two investigative journalists, Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano, who explored Gibson’s deception.

Just when you thought you might be over Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix has just added a documentary version of the Belle Gibson case. Apple Cider Vinegar was a dramatised version of events, whereas this one is completely real, and shows Belle herself.
