Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a quick day at the office on Sunday against the New England Patriots,
McDermott admitted the plan was to keep the streak alive for Allen, meaning all he had to do is take the first snap of the game for the Bills. Per McDermott, Allen would play a “very, very short amount of time” against the Pats.
"Josh Allen started Sunday's game vs. New England and played one play. He now has started 105 straight games, the longest active streak for any QB and more than double the next closest streak that belongs to Lions QB Jared Goff," Schefter said on X.
Allen has a long way to go to catch Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre, who holds the all-time record for quarterbacks with 294 starts in a row (321 including the playoffs). For now, the Bills' plan worked to keep both the streak and Allen's body safe on Sunday.
