On Monday, Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard authorized his staff to wear Lions baseball caps and beanies through the playoff run. The Spirit of Detroit statue also has been attired in a Honolulu blue Lions jersey.

Detroit Police say they're used to keeping downtown safe during large-scale events, including Detroit Lions playoff games.

Tailgaters at Saturday's playoff game between the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders are in for snow and rain in the morning. Detroit's winter weather might put a damper on tailgating festivities outside of the Ford Field stadium.
