Indiana has hired West Virginia's Darian DeVries as new head coach of the men's basketball program, the school announced Tuesday. DeVries will receive a six-year deal with the school, sources told ESPN.

Tucker DeVries played three seasons at Drake before going to West Virginia. Tucker DeVries suffered an unspecified upper body injury.

Sears was a second-team pick last season, when he helped to lead the Crimson Tide to their first Final Four. He initially declared for the NBA draft but withdrew in late May, choosing instead to return to Alabama for another run at a national title.
