The hiring of Alex Jensen reconnects Utah to a successful past that the Utes want to tap into while rebuilding their men’s basketball program and, hopefully, becoming more competitive in the Big 12 Conference.

The Utes are going back to the future. “Really, what we’ve done here, it’s rather simple,” said athletic director Mark Harlan. “We have reached into our past to develop our future.” Harlan introduced Alex Jensen as the Utes 17th head basketball coach on Monday.
