More than 40 years ago, Michael Jordan helped Nike become the name in basketball sneakers. Today it’s betting that Kim Kardashian can help it do the same for women’s activewear.

Kim Kardashian is taking her shapewear brand into the big leagues. The reality star announced on Tuesday that she’s partnering with Nike to launch an all-new brand: NikeSkims.

SKIMS and Nike joined forces to "disrupt the industry" and create top-notch, new activewear that works for athletes of all levels.

“Nike and Skims share a deep commitment to innovation, inclusivity and pushing boundaries, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of women,” Kardashian wrote in the statement. (The reality star cofounded her brand Skims in 2019.)
