NFL reveals massive salary cap increase for 2025 season with new league year kicking off March 12
NFL teams now know how much money they will have to spend when the new league year officially begins on March 12. The league's salary cap for the 2025 season will be $279.2 million, CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones confirms.
The $23.8 million increase from 2024 is the third-largest in league history. The NFL instituted its salary cap in 1994.
