In the AI chatbot world, ubiquity is everything. Companies have raced to build desktop and mobile apps for their bots, in order to both give them new capabilities but also to make sure they’re right in front of your face as often as possible.

Alphabet's Google on Thursday released a smartphone app for its artificial intelligence chatbot on Apple's App Store that introduced the latest generation of its voice assistant to the popular mobile operating system.

Months after launching the Gemini AI app for Android, Google has rolled out the app for iPhones. Google CEO Sundar Pichai made the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter. He wrote, “The Gemini app is now on iPhone, including Gemini Live in 13 languages (more to come). It’s available in the App Store starting today.”
