In the original Daredevil series, Bullseye, also known as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, was left broken and battered after a brutal confrontation with Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. The latter had broken his spine, leaving him nearly dead. However, Daredevil intervened, saving Dex’s life.

Daredevil: Born Again makes it clear from its first episode – and its first act – that the show isn’t holding back on anything.
